Oak River W I Meets Sets Agenda For January
Oak River Women’s Institute held its first meeting of the year with 8 members. Louise Nehoda spoke on Calgary Winter Olympics visitor accommodations and Rae Vassart discussed immigration changes for adopting foreign children. John Patterson outlined cash flow planning, a family living allowance and the $24 000 annual family expense. A planning meeting is set for January 21 to form a farm bookkeeping group. An AIDS information meeting is planned for January 27 at 2 p.m. in Oak River United Church. The February meeting will mark the institute’s 67th birthday.
