Airdrie Knight began work January 5 at the Health Centre and serves the Birtle area. She comes from Goodlands with education in Waskada and Goodlands, earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba in 1980, and has experience as a camp counsellor and in group homes. She enjoys talking with the elderly, marital counselling, camping, hockey, volleyball, baseball, reading, and piano.
The December 16 1980 meeting hosted Foxwarren visitors and District Deputy Grand Master. An installation team announced 1981 officers led by W Bro W F McKerchar. After lodge, members joined ladies at Legion Hall for Old Timers Orchestra entertainment and a ham supper by outgoing Master W Bro S C Switzer.
U C W met at Mrs I Butler's home January 7 with 13 members and a visitor. New officers for 1981 were installed. Centennial Tea and Bake Sale planned for January 9 in Kenton Memorial Hall. The group raised 705.60 in books, certificates, and souvenirs.
