Church Aflame Sermon Highlights Mid-Winter Seminar
Rev Sibley quotes Rev Tom Johnstone as saying God makes saints and a living stone not a tombstone. The Pentecostal Ministers Mid-Winter Seminar in Swan River Feb 1820 featured speakers, visits with Laverne Slimmons, a Swan Motel manager, a men’s breakfast, music by a local quartet, and departmental talks. Also noted was the Feb 23 installation of 1975 Hamiota Pentecostal officers and Bernard Miller’s 24 years on the church board. March events include World Day of Prayer and film showings by Dave Wilkerson, with Big John Hall live performances. The piece underscores church activity and ongoing community involvement.
