Miniota Centennial Celebrations Highlight Rural Festivities
A detailed account of Miniota’s centennial events describes threshing demonstrations, hardball and fastball games, and a large street dance. Entertainment included the Hamiota Senior Citizen Band, The Naturals from Virden, and a bagpipe concert. Prizes honored authentic costumes and open-class entries, with extensive museum displays and family histories showcased at the Miniota School amid heavy turnout and nostalgia.
