Manitoba Personal Care Home Rates Rise for 1988 89
Health Minister Donald Orchard announced 1988 89 daily rates for personal care homes will rise from 19.60 to 19.90 on August 1 1988 with further 30 cent increases on November 1 1988 and February 1 1989. The staged increases aim to keep charges fair while allowing for income adjustments tied to Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplements. All residents in Manitoba personal care homes and certain awaiting hospital placements will pay the new daily charge.
