A testimonial letter from Jacob Dornacher of Bawardeville, Illinois, dated July 14 1908, extols Dr Kilmer’s Swamp Root as more effective than doctors prescriptions for backache and kidney trouble. Notary public Samuel W McKitrick authenticates.
A letter to Dr Kilmer and Company of Binghamton New York offers a sample bottle to prove swamp rent benefits and promises a booklet on kidneys and bladder. It urges mentioning the Hamilton Daily Journal and notes regular fifty cent and one dollar bottle sales at all drug stores.
Attorney General Hogan concludes the Crosser initiative limits apply to new expenditures only. Routine city spending need not wait sixty days to take effect, and refer endant petitions must be filed within thirty days of ordinance approval. The opinion eases requirements and may avert a special legislative session.
