Mass. A play festival by Coburn players a philharmonic group and visits by university figures will follow. Also noted are a euchre party at Mrs William Ashton’s and a Franklin Literary Society program with vocal and violin solos and a debate on women’s suffrage. Dr I P Mosbaugh reports recovering from an operation and expects full cure. Methodist Services include a 20 minute musical preface before sermon led by Prof R H Burke.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture July crop and livestock report shows wheat prospects at 43 percent of normal with joint worm damage noted, corn area at 3,197,884 acres and overall yields varied. Oats improve to 98 percent of normal. potatoes and corn areas revised. local option election planned in Hancock County with related events and liquor dispute details.
Miss Colon Gigwson of Cincinnati guests of Mr and Mrs Stanley Billingslea. Mrs Will Biseher of Hamilton visited Thursday at her mother Mrs William Hersther. Mr and Mrs Harry Linemann and Wisconsin ties guests. Mrs Carl Windsor entertained Thursday with Misses Dolla Harvis and Dolly Hors among guests. Open air service at M E church led by Miss Driscoll missionary to Africa. Walter A Smith deputy internal revenue collector died at Middletown saving a child. Other Revenue Office employees lost in past year. Funeral planned for Sunday. committees arranged for attendance.
