County Commissioners Award Multiple Road Contracts

At a county meeting Vernon Anghes was awarded $300.40 to dig a channel at the Dry Fork near Maud Davig farm in Morgan township. Arthur Becker contracted to Geng High Main street bridge for $40.20 monthly. Guillaume awarded $47.60 to build a temporary bridge on Hatchilton Venice road linking Shertz Hathaway farm to Fairs Field township. Auditor Crawford warns the last contract was not paid due to work done before approval, against the law, as the bridge at the site collapsed and required inspection.

Fatal Sawmill Accident Near West Alexandria

Harvey Bake a 48 year old resident of Enterprise Ohio was killed Friday after being drawn into a circular saw at Meyers and Simmers Mill. He died on the operating table after a severe loss of blood. Bake leaves a widow and five children. His mother and sister reside in Germantown Ohio. He was a cousin of Mrs Ya te Brown and Green streets.
