Oxford Sets Start Dates for Wave-Rous District Schools

Oxford District Superintendent Clyde Wissong announced opening dates for all schools. Riley, Manover, Carrtown, and Collinaville begin Tuesday September 8, Somerville and Oxford on Monday September 12. Teachers’ meetings are September 5 at Hiley and September 6 at Oxford. The staff includes Mrs. Bickware, Mrs. Bake, Ruby McNill, Agatha Wespiser, Ainty Hulk, Grace Laremore, and teachers George Beyant, Mary Flannagan, Seat Fierson, Tessie Jackson, Etsel Wagner, Emma W. Cone, with H N Kramer as principal. Kramer recently studied in Columbia. Jackson and Wagner studied at the University of Chicago.

The Ad Club endorsed the retail merchants executive committee action to publish a souvenir book for Hamilton business interests. The convention committees of the Chamber of Commerce and the Trades and Labor council will produce the book jointly, asking members to subscribe space.
