Mrs Cassie Chadwick known as the witch of finance suffered heart related neuralgia and a nervous collapse while in the parlor of the state prison. Doctor Garrett used restoratives. she remained under care and fear she may not survive to complete her sentence.
Two special cars carrying Harrison followers home from a Lawrenceburg game collided at Valley Junction on Sunday. Six men were injured, including Oliver P. Winters with a dislocated shoulder and John Hawk with a back contusion. Doctors Fred A. Grossman and B. F. Lehman attended the injured. Cars moved on after the crash.
Supreme Protector Lockard and other Knights and Ladies of Honor officers are summoned to Allen county court to show cause why the Missouri grand lodge suspension should not be set aside. The mandamus was filed on behalf of deposed Grand Protector O Keefe of Missouri.
Mrs Eleanor Cregmile widow of John Cregmile died Sunday morning at 706 East Ridgeway avenue Cincinnati aged 89. The funeral will be held at the family residence in Cincinnati Tuesday morning at 9 30 o clock with interment in the cemetery at Reiley.

Old man Iske was thrown from his city wagon when Dowd’s runaway horse and wagon struck it at Front and Chestnut streets Saturday. He escaped with slight injuries and avoided more serious harm.
New York report attributes the copper stock crash to H. H. Rogers the Standard Oil magnate. Robert Braun son of Mr and Mrs Jacob Braun of Chestnut street had his right wrist broken while roller skating on the sidewalk in front of his home Sunday afternoon The lad and companions were skating when he fell on the element walk (walk).
The court set fines for several defendants including Lee Judd five dollars and costs for assault and threats while Paul Korn's intoxication case was dismissed with costs remitted. R H King paid costs for disorderly conduct and choking his sister. Lon Cotrell, William Stewart, John Springer, Tan Reed, and August Hessenberger were dismissed or fined costs for various charges.
An inventory and appraisement filed in the common pleas court Monday lists the Daniel Bender estate at 11037 15. Appraisers named are J A Deneen George Emmons and Robert Durbin.
Attorney General Ellis will file a suit to determine if county treasurers and sheriffs serving a second term, expiring January 1, are eligible for appointment to fill the vacancy before the 1909 term starts. Jacob Simpson signed a warrant Sunday charging Lon Cockerell with menacing threats. Simpson alleged Cockerell abused his wife shamefully. Cockerell had earlier served a workhouse sentence for the same charge and was released on good behavior.
Chicago reports a new price schedule from the beef trust raising beef pork veal and hams by 2 to 3 cents per pound. Price lists sent to jobbing houses require adherence or a 1000 dollar forfeiture. Consumers face about four cents higher per pound at retail outlets.
Catherine Laura Reed aged 8 months and 15 days died Sunday at 3 AM at 419 South Avenue. Funeral at 3:30 PM Tuesday at the house and 9 AM at St Mary’s Church. Interment in St Mary’s Cemetery.
In a Pennsylvania railroad accident north of Richmond on September 16 Peter Muhl of Hagerstown was killed and Conductor O E Thomas of Richmond was injured but not seriously. The train struck an open switch causing several cars to derail and substantial property loss was reported.
R. H. King of Central avenue and Long street returned Sunday afternoon in an intoxicated state and abused his wife and struck his sister. He damaged furniture, police arrested him, and he was released on a $20 appearance bond after processing.
Dominic Martin of Cottage Street sustained a severe left thumb injury while pulling paper with a hook at the Sterling Paper Co. plant. The incident occurred as he operated machinery at the facility.
Chris Alexander juror in Crawford's Run cases was fined 50 dollars and costs and sentenced to ten days in jail by Probate Judge C. E. Hartkoff after being found drunk. The commotion in court delayed the case of Pressley Lewis vs county commissioners as remaining jurors continued the trial.
