Heavy snow kept crowds away from the 31st annual Guthne County Rural Electric Cooperative meet. Attendance dropped to 475 from 560 last year, with 175 members and the rest guests or family. Emmett F Butler was the featured speaker, receiving a standing ovation. Oris Hoover was reelected president, with William Pedersen and Harold Stadsvold reappointed as vice president and secretary-treasurer.

Guthrie County supervisors organized and elected Herman Heires as chairman at the meeting. J W Mills was named welfare board member, with reappointments for Jay Haughtelin and Mrs Vergil Tholen to the county welfare board. Funeral services held for William A Hughes at St Josephs
