The Red Men of Pequannock Tribe hold a memorial service next Sunday afternoon in the city. Rev. Fred R. Davies of Charles Town will deliver the address, weather permitting from the court house steps at two o clock. If inclement weather the speech moves to Eagle's Hall on South Broadway. All are invited.

Ninth Annual Richmond District Christian Endeavor Convention
The Ninth Annual Convention of Richmond District Christian Endeavor Union will meet in Milton on Wednesday and Thursday June 19 and 20. R. were surprised Friday evening when the Woman’s Relief Corps entered their quarters unannounced, demanded surrender after a meeting, and treated the group to hot coffee, ham sandwiches, and pickles. President Mrs. Will Davis explained the intruders’ purpose, and all enjoyed a festive, congenial moment as they broke ranks to feast.

News from Louisville reports the death of Rev. Shadrock F. Thompson at his home. Sneak Thief Steals Woman’s Pocketbook on North Ireland Street
Friday afternoon a sneak thief entered Ellen Dart’s North Ireland Street home while she cared for a dying neighbor and stole her pocketbook containing seven hard earned dollars. Dart, who has supported herself by washing since her husband James Dart’s death, loses every penny she had, witnesseing little left for meals. If honor exists among thieves, the cited culprit lacks it.

Woman and two children thrown from buggy in near collision
Sunday afternoon Mr and Mrs Robert Faux and two children traveling from the Hudsons to the Ches ter Hamilton farm near Greensburg Lumber Co on North Michigan Ave when their horse reared at an automobile driven by Dr T B Gullefer. The buggy struck a mail box post and Mrs Faux and the two year old were thrown to the ground. Mrs Faux was severely but not fatally hurt with a slightly injured elbow for the child.

Money Burned While in Oven For Safe Keeping
Charles Link entrusted thirty dollars and five five dollar bills plus a five dollar gold piece to his sister Miss Link for safekeeping until Monday. The family left the money in the cook stove oven while walking Sunday evening and forgot it. Sad death of Mrs. Treodore Crume in Greensburg
Mrs. Treodore Crume died suddenly of heart trouble at age fifty two, after returning from a funeral. She was born Lizzie Thompson in Cincinnati and married Theodore A. Crume twenty six years ago. She leaves a husband and two brothers Frank and John. Funeral services were held at her residence and burial followed at South Park cemetery.

Death of a Prominent Farmer Frank Shelhorn
Frank Shelhorn a well known farmer of the Downeyville neighborhood died Sunday night about ten o'clock following complications from a ruptured blood vessel in his right leg three weeks earlier. A blood clot caused his death despite a temporary appearance of improvement. He was thirty nine, leaves a widow and two sons ages eleven and thirteen, and resided in Decatur county all his life. The funeral will be held Tuesday at two o'clock at the family residence, with Rev. J. W. Turner officiating.
