Arrest Three on A Larceny Charge
Three men from Marshalltown and Toledo were arrested Friday September 22 on larceny in the nighttime charges. They allegedly broke into Kesley School and stole a phonograph a hand bell and a wrist watch and took gas and a battery from the Meyer and Mulder Sand Pit near Aplington on September 18. Melfred Comer 18 Gary Lurrey 18 and Richard Rhodes 20 were held in Allison jail with bonds of 1000 each and will return to district court. Three juveniles are to be brought to juvenile court later.

Auto Crash on Highway 14 Injures Several
On Monday about 11:00 a.m. a two car collision two miles south of Greene injured several people. Mr and Mrs Mark Winn of Kewanee Illinois and Mabel Paxsson and Mrs Claudia Colling of Marshalltown were admitted to a Marshalltown hospital after the Greene Produce Co pickup driven by Paul Crabtree traveling south turned left as the Winn auto tried to pass. Front ends of both vehicles a 1955 Chevrolet and the produce pickup were badly damaged.
