Greene residents attend a football game as Jack Sandy debuts as head coach guiding the Ramblers to a 6 to 9 victory. Both teams showed over anxious play but Greene’s squad corrected errors and secured the win against a strong West Union eleven.

Greene Community Schools PTA Meets in High School Auditorium

The Greene Community Schools Parent Teachers Association met Wednesday evening with about one hundred parents and teachers in attendance. Rev George Knutson gave a welcome and prayer, Mrs James Drake led America, and Mr Tatum spoke for the teachers. Minutes approved, committees listed, next meeting set for October 4 in the new Elementary School. Sperry shared Hawaii trip photos and notes before a mixer and refreshments closed the gathering.

Arrest of Gerhard Ersland On Driving Drivi ng Suspension

Gerhard T. Ersland, 50, was arrested near Parkersburg by the Highway Patrol on Friday September 15 on a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was arraigned in Justice of Peace court in Allison, bond set at $300 for the next term. Bond not furnished, Ersland held in county jail in Allison Iowa.

Two Plead Guilty To C M V 1 Charge

Donald W. McIntire 31 of Waterloo pleaded guilty in District Court to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Judge Wild set a $300.00 fine plus $13.50 costs, paid. McIntire was arrested September 7 near Austinville by the Highway Patrol after a one car crash. DeWitt Mulder 37 of Court Saturday September 16 pleaded guilty while intoxicated. Legion Auxiliary To Hold Conference in Clutter

More than 406 members of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary are expected at the Fall Conference of the Third District in Clutter on Tuesday September 26.
