Observes family practice for six weeks with Dr B V Andersen in Greene. George Orndorff, in his third year of medical education, arrived Friday for the rotation, aiming to gain intimate knowledge of Greene and general practice without obligation. He is a Penn State graduate with an MS from Wisconsin Madison and six years in cryobiology research in Madison. He and his wife reside in Philadelphia while he studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Second Lieutenant Steven A Hildebrand, son of M&M Leslie, of Greene, has earned silver wings after graduating from US Air Force navigator training at Mather AFB California. He is stationed at McConnell AFB Kansas for KC 135 duties with SAC. A 1969 Greene Community High School graduate, he earned a BA in physical education from Luther College last year. He was commissioned at Lackland AFB Texas. His wife Jane is the daughter of Warren Greene of Columbus Junction, Texas.

Packard Elevator raises grain handling capacity by 160 060 bushels with four 40 000 bushel steel bins. Total storage reaches about 2.5 million bushels. Funeral services for Marcus M Staudt 77 of Marble Rock were held Saturday at Retd 5 Funeral Chapel in Marble Rock with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Officiating clergyman was Carroll Robinson. Born July 26 1897 in Marble Rock to Matthew and Anna Ritter Staudt, he died Thursday at Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City. Survived by wife Ina and son Dean of Marble Rock and one sister Mrs Ining Bloom of Nashua.

Mrs Dale Johnson 38 of Reinbeck area died September 7. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Soned Methodist Church in Greene with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include husband Wilma nee Claussen Johnson, two children Ann and Craig, mother Mrs Clarene Claussen of Reinbeck, and a brother Richard. Rev MO Froacm officiated. Reed's Funeral Chapel supervised arrangements.
