Rockford jumped to a 30 point first half lead as Greene Mistakes fuel the onslaught. Voters in Greene will elect a mayor and five council members on Tuesday November 6 at City Hall. Incumbents Wilford E. Griner Harold F. Kock Leonard F. Morey Marvin J. Nelson and Charles M. The Greene Recorder announces its newly remodeled studio facilities at 219 N Second St with refreshments, door prizes, and specials on portrait sittings and weddings. Photographer Fred Hawker says nearly $1500 was invested in new equipment and the front office was remodeled. many examples of work are on display. An open house marks the Greene Recorder’s 3rd anniversary with M and M Hawker as publishers.
Leanne Marten has completed the Legal Secretarial Course at Hamilton College in Mason City and is now employed at Memorial Hospital in Mason City.
Dr. A. H. Truitt, Sr., 84, of Fenimore Wisconsin, died at home Monday following a brief illness. He practiced chiropractic in Fenimore for 58 years and is survived by his wife, five children, Dr. J. T. Truitt of Greene, grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
