Russell Ardell Fisk, 26, of Ventura Iowa, appeared in District Court on November 13 and pleaded guilty to making beer available to a minor. Judge Wild sentenced him to a $300 fine or ninety days in county jail. fine and costs paid. Fisk was arrested October 23 by Deputy Sheriff Marvin Barth.

Traveling Museum Exhibit Comes to Greene This Weekend
The world’s only traveling natural history museum travels to Greene, brought by Jack Simmons of Beana Minnesota and Jack Sarff of Bemidji Minnesota. It features about 90 to 100 mounted species from northern Minnesota, southern Canada, the Arctic Circle, and the Kenai Peninsula. The trailer will be across from the Post Office Thursday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday 9 am to 9 pm, and at Greene Elementary Friday 9 am to 4 pm. Species include bear, deer, elk, wild cat, lynx, porcupine, fox, beaver, mink, silver fox, arctic animals, record wild cat and wolf. The free exhibit is sponsored by the Greene Sportsman’s Club, the Greene Commercial Club, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Schoolchildren from Clarks Grove, Allison, Bristow, Marble Rock, Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock, and Greene Community School plus St Mary’s Academy will view the exhibit Friday.

Dennis Huisenga aged 19 of Geneva was arrested Monday November 5 by Deputy Sheriff Marvin Barth on attempting to buy beer. John Carl Merfeld 68 of Rockwell died Friday morning at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ma son City after a five year illness from strokes. Fractured Foot Injures Farm Helper A F Lindell
A F Lindell was hurt while helping his son Arvid at a Greene area farm. A 4 by 8 foot sheet metal slipped from a hook and struck his right foot, revealing fractures of all the bones at the top. He was taken to Mason City for X rays, placed in a cast, and is recovering at home.
