Two Fined for Damaging A Vehicle
Lawrence Wabbena 18 and Arthur Wolski 17 of Ackley were arrested near Ackley on a charge of intent to damage a motor vehicle after admitting they took a John Deere tractor from Gerdes Implement in Aplington and drove it through a fence at Ray Hansen Construction. They pleaded guilty in Mayors court in Aplington, were fined $100 each, paid the fines, and released from Allison county jail. they must also replace the fence and other damage.

Thomas C. Todd aged 72 died Thursday evening November 1 at his farm home east of Greene after six weeks illness. Funeral services were held at Chenoweth Funeral Home Nashua at 2:00 p.m. Monday with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. He is survived by sister Mrs. Elsie Hanneman and sister in law Mrs. Floyd Todd. Two Pleaded Guilty To Larceny Charges In District Court
Darrell Lee Buss of Waverly pleaded guilty to larceny over 20 dollars in district court. Judge Wild sentenced him to five years in Anamosa but suspended the term and paroled him to the Board of Parole. Police say he stole carburators, a manifold, and a radio from three Shell Rock cars. Robert E. Lindaman of Wellsburg also faced five years in Anamosa, suspended and paroled. Lindaman was arrested July 27 in Dumont for stealing tools and car parts from a Fisher Construction Company vehicle in Allison. Harold E. Voss, Republican incumbent, defeated Ben DeBerg for the Third District supervisor seat. National results show Democrats holding strength off year, with Kennedy defeating Lodge in Massachusetts, Rockefeller Romney and Brown winning key governorships.
