Hampel Named Red Cross Regional Fund Chairman

Bob C. Barnett 39 died Saturday in Veterans Hospital Iowa City after a week there from cancer illness. Born Floyd County December 5 1921 son of Fred and Carmen Barnett he married Iva Smith February 3 1941 in Charles City. He served in the 15th Air Force in Europe during World War II and belonged to American Legion Post 268 Greene. Surviving wife three children father and siblings. Funeral at St Peter’s Lutheran Greene with burial Rose Hill Cemetery military honors.

Butler County is no longer eligible for federal brucellosis blood testing funds after failing to complete the modified certified brucellosis-free status campaign in time.
