Bids Set for Highway Construction in Iowa Counties
The Iowa State Highway Commission approved the low bids on May 9 for two highway projects in Butler and Bremer Counties. Midwest Paving Company and Van Buskirk-Cook of Sioux City bid 571,168 for 6 miles of asphaltic concrete on the Iowa 3 relocation in Butler County, with completion by November 18. The second project, 3.4 miles of Iowa 3 reconstruction from the Butler County line to Waverly, drew a 412,221 bid from the same firms, with completion by November 18.
