Two Paid Fines In Allison Recently
Richard A. Yandan age 32 of Waterloo was arrested May 1 in New Hartford by the Highway Patrol on intoxication. He appeared in Justice of Peace Court in Allison May 2 and pleaded guilty, paying a $25 fine plus $5 costs. Richard David Welch age 23 of Amarillo Texas was arrested in Allison by the Sheriff's Office Wednesday on assault and battery. Welch appeared in Justice of Peace Court in Allison Thursday and pleaded guilty, paying a $50 fine plus costs and was released from the County jail in Allison.

Locals Oast Dumont Rockford in Sectional Finals Tomorrow
Coach Jerry Eimers' baseball team remained undefeated with a 1 0 win over Dumont and a 14 2 victory against Rockford to set up a sectional final against Clarksville. Nile Myers allowed no hits in the Dumont game shortened to three innings by the ten run rule. Greene led the Dumont scoring with a five run first two innings combo and Buttjer, Barth, and Myers contributed in the later frames. The Rockford game saw ten runs in the second, Marsh and Klunder delivering key hits as Doug Marsh and Myers handled pitching duties. The sectional final is scheduled for tomorrow at 4 00 p.m. at the Allison fairgrounds weather permitting.

Boy Scouts Hold Spring Camporee at Marble Rock
The Butler District Spring Camporee for Boy Scouts was held over the past weekend at the Winnebago Scout Camp in Marble Rock. Greene Allison and Shell Rock towns participated. Government Wins Soil Bank Trial Against Van Raden
The United States government won a soil bank case in Waterloo federal court, finding Vern Van Raden guilty of gross negligence for letting cattle graze nine acres set aside for the soil bank in 1956. He faces forfeiture of 226.50, part of a 439.35 total demand, while a 212.85 penalty could apply if willful. Neighbors testified to grazing. Van Raden argued the matter was a neighbor dispute and claimed he kept cattle off the land though testimonies contradicted him. Federal Judge Roy L. Stephenson presided.
