Greene High band heads to Six Flags trip to St Louis
Greene High School band of 90 with 12 chaperones departs for St Louis for the Six Flags Over Mid America contest. The trip, financed largely by Band Parents and a community drive, costs about 5200 dollars. Activities include rehearsals, a Gateway Arch visit, Mississippi Belle cruise, Forest Park Zoo, and a full day at Six Flags.

The Greene High School band earned its 14th consecutive Division I rating at the State Contest in Mason City on May 4. The trip includes entertainment at Six Flags with a 11 pm bus load and arrival planned around 8 am May 11. Brian Frevert anchored the mile medley in 1 58.0 as Greene took 3rd at Hampton Relays. Byron Davis cleared 10 6 in pole vault. Results list Frevert long jump 18 1 4 inches and 1 mile relay 3 25 3 5.
