GHS Wins 16th Division 1 State Band Rating
The Greene Community High School earned its 16th consecutive Division 1 rating at a state concert band competition held last Saturday in Belmond. The program featured The Sheffordshire Regiment and Punchinello, with judges from Iowa City Des Moines and the University of Wisconsin at Platteville. The full contest band listed players across woodwinds brass and percussion, led by directors and contributing musicians from Greene.

Funeral services were held May 4 at St Marys Catholic Church Greene with burial in St Marys Cemetery. She was born Nov 10 1880 in Greene to Bernard and Mary Springer. Survived by sister Marjorie Springer niece Jeanne Springer and daughter in law Leone Fox. Preceded by husband Bert Fox sons Burdell and Bernard and brothers Randy Bill Leo and sister Mary. She was member of St Marys Circle and Rosary Society.

Greene Community School Car Wash Rescheduled for May 8
The Softball and Baseball teams of Greene Community School will host a car wash at the bus barn this Saturday May 8.
