Congress faces possible DST extension amid debate
Dick Clark notes Congress again considers changing Daylight Saving Time from a 6 month to a 7 month program. He recalls past shifts since 1973, including year round DST in 1973 and an 8 month plan in 1974, with a return to 6 months in 1975. Backers cite energy and safety gains, while opponents warn of inconveniences and minimal energy savings.

Senator Dick Clark Calls for End to Daylight Saving Changes
