Auditorium in Gilbert Named for Magdalene Feyereisen
The 94 year old Magdalene Feyereisen, longtime Gilbert teacher and ecumenical organizer, recalls establishing the town’s annual Christmas pageant that united ministers and students of all faiths. Her legacy includes the Feyereisen Auditorium dedicated in 1954 after 43 years of teaching in Gilbert.

Funeral services for John Dobel 90 of Greene will be held Thursday March 4 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery northeast of Greene. Rev. Wahlgren to officiate Reid's Funeral Chapel in charge. Dobel born May 26 1885 in Manly to William and Caroline Dobel died February 29 at Mathers Nursing Home in Greene where he resided since 1972. Survived by one daughter Lucille Weichers Greene five grandchildren four great grandchildren and one sister Mrs Caroline Kobernusz Northwood.

The Greene community invites women to the 2nd annual Christian Women's Retreat at the United Methodist Camp Grounds in Clear Lake on March 25 and 26.
