Corn Bowl Vocal Festival Comes to Manly on March 4
The third annual Corn Bowl Vocal Festival will be held Saturday March 4 at the North Central Community School in Manly. High school choirs from St Ansgar Riceville Rockford Greene Nashua Nora Springs and North Central Manly will perform and unite in a massed choir under Leo Grether executive secretary of the Iowa High School Music Association. The concert at 730 p.m. in the North Central gym will close the day’s events with all choirs featured and a public invitation to attend.

Ramblers take fourth at state wrestling meet in Waterloo
Greene Clark Allen and Douglas Trees each reached runner up status in their classes. Trees was second at 103 pounds, Allen second at 180 pounds. Clark also reached the finals but lost to Thompson of Janesville. The team finished with 10 wins and 1 loss in duels and claimed multiple tournament titles, ending with a strong state showing.

Sylvester to Speak On Weed Herbicides

Home From Florida Roy Hentine Family Return from Tampa Trip

Feed Grain Sign-Up Extended to March 17 in Iowa
Fred R. McLain, chairman of the Iowa ASC State Committee, announced an extension of the 1967 Feed Grain Program sign-up to March 17. The original five week period was January 30 to March 3 but revised accounting systems delayed advance payments processing.
