The Town Council met at the Town Hall on June 3 1957 with Mayor Cool Starkweather and councilmen present. Minutes from the prior meeting were read and approved. The treasurer milk water and mineral license reports were presented along with a May receipts summary and cemetery grave care notes.
A May 1957 council session approved paying general, public safety, recreation, sanitation, utilities and road use tax bills totaling 64 328 07. It granted cigarette permits pending bonds, issued Class B beer permit to Max Kent, and adopted resolutions for Allied Construction curb and gutter contracts and paving bids. A special meeting opened curb gutter bids and passing plans and specifications.
