Wilford Olmstead of Shed Rock was picked up Saturday June 13 on a warrant from Floyd County for false drawing and uttering of checks. He was turned over to Floyd County officials Saturday afternoon. Marvin Chaney of Dumont pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace on Saturday June 13 and was fined $15 and costs. Robert Johnson of Waterloo pleaded guilty to intoxication on Sunday June 14 and was fined $10 and costs. All three were arrested by Butler County Deputy Sheriff Marvin Barth.

Former Resident Mrs Wells Dies in Kansas at 78
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Trent Wells 78, of Kingman Kansas, on June 68 after a lingering illness of carcinoma. She was born in Clarksville and was the former Daisy Burkholder. She lived in Greene after marrying the late Chet Miner. After his death she was appointed the first Social Welfare Director of Butler County, a position she held for several years.
