Barry Delp earns Eagle Scout for life saving project
Barry Delp, a junior at GHS, earned the Eagle rank after a project placing life buoys in Perrin Park and Conservation Park and replacing bridge ropes. He has 21 merit badges including nature, woodworking, and sailing, earned Star in January 1973 and Life in May 1973. He is senior patrol leader and member of the Order of the Arrow, son of M and M Richard Delp.

Mark O'Brien Earns Eagle Scout Rank in May Ceremony
Mark O'Brien aged 16 and son of Neal and M M O'Brien received the Eagle Scout rank in a May 4 ceremony in Mike Squires' woods. Pins were presented to Mark and his mother during the event. His Eagle project planted and cared for ten trees at the swimming pool grounds, including four evergreens two hackberry three flowering crab and one maple.

Post Office Window Hours Cut to 8:30-10 A.M.
The Saturday Post Office window service will operate from 8:30 to 10 a.m. starting Saturday July 20. Previously hours were 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, shortening service by two hours.
