Laurence Hagarty 87 died June 29 at Chautauqua Guest Home Charles City after two months there. Born September 17, 1877 Greene son of Laurence and Anna Hagarty. Married Catherine Reis in 1906 they farmed in Greene area. Survived by sons Donald and Kenneth daughters Mrs Henry Cramer and Mrs Wayne Crawford and 22 grandchildren. Funeral July 2 at 10:30 a.m. Most Rev Leonard Hagarty officiated. burial in St Marys Cemetery Reid's Funeral Chapel in charge.

William Roever of Janesville died from a heart attack at home on June 27. Born June 6 1888 in Coldwater Township Butler County, he married Mary Voight in 1909. Preceded in death by husband and parents one daughter one brother and two sisters. Funeral services held Friday at 1 30 PM Parrott and Wood Funeral Home Waterloo.

Thomas Hagarty died Tuesday at Evansdale following a long illness. He was born to James Hagarty and Anna Ryan in Greene and married Edna Adis in 1904 at St. Nicholas Church in Greene. Survivors include eight daughters and several sons and grandchildren. Funeral Mass was held at St Nicholas Catholic Church in Evansdale with Bishop Leonard Hagarty presiding. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.
