Iowa and Illinois Corn Output Forecasts and Carryover Use
The report projects Iowa at 901.7 million bushels and Illinois at 901.6 million, with yields around 53 and 88 bushels per acre respectively. Iowa’s output would fall about 9 percent from 1967, Illinois about 11 bushels below last year’s 100 per acre. Domestic use is seen rising as export requirements remain uncertain and carryover stock, largely tied to reseal loans and government inventories, supports market activity.
