The 1964 feed grain signup is now open at the ASCS County Office led by Chairman Herman Stubbe. The period runs February 16 through March 27, with voluntary participation in corn barley and grain sorghum. Major improvements include 50 percent diversion of base acreage and two payment rates, with higher rates applying to more acres. Speech Contest At Hampton Highlights Iowa Students

State Engineers will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. February 1964 at the Greene Community Center to discuss proposed relocation of Iowa 14. The 1.7 mile project includes right of way, a new Shell Rock River bridge, culverts, and paving in 1967. Traffic in 1966 is projected at 1410 vehicles daily rising to 1890 by 1986. The plan also includes a channelized intersection at Iowa 14 and county road MM and erosion control measures.
