The Greeneunt of Church Women United marks World Day of Prayer on Friday March 2 at 2 pm at St Marys Catholic Church. Delegates from United Methodist, Church of the Brethren, First Presbyterian and St Peters Lutheran will participate with Father Edmund Cooney delivering the meditation.

Pork Producers Banquet Draws Largest Attendance Yet
The Allison Pork Producers Association held its annual banquet on Monday evening February 5 at the Farm Bureau Auditorium in Allison. Guest speaker was Ron Michaelsen of WMT Stations Cedar Rapids. Ramblerettes lock second in Corn Bowl Conference
The Green Ramblerettes defeated North Central 45 to 37 at Manly to clinch 14th win and move to 7-2 in conference play. A low scoring game featured heavy turnovers and a 21 zone that troubled Ramblerette forwards while Manly led early 5-2.

Brethren women aid CWS with comforters layettes and blankets
Greene Church of the Brethren Women's Fellowship members held an all day work session at Leslie Smith's home tying five full sized comforters sewing layettes and hemming towels for Church World Service. They also converted a birthday offering into 22 blankets costing 3.00 each and sent 200 pounds of items last year to the CWS center in Indiana.
