Bethel Baptist Circle Hears Liberia Update
Mrs Lola Wedeking led a Thursday afternoon Mission Circle meeting at Bethel Baptist Church. Devotions were given by Mrs Walter Flesher and Mrs Walter Marsh taught from Man Reaches Out to God. The group discussed the Loom Project and a January slide show on Liberia by Jerry Adams. The Peace Corps volunteer assists Catherine Mills Rehabilitation Center in Liberia, with a hospital built in 1960 named for a donor's mother. A room is being sought to support the center. Lunch followed.

Repair Shop Burns Down in Early Tuesday Blaze
A Schwartz Auto Repair and Smith Welding Shop were destroyed in an early morning fire discovered around 5:00 a.m. by a passing truck driver who alerted the local fire department. The blaze ruined tools and equipment stored at the shop.
