The Federal Land Bank Association at Hampton will pay more than $22,000 in dividends to its 350 members. Manager Leon B. Madson announced that dividend checks would be mailed August 1 to farmers who own stock in the Association. The Hampton FLBA is owned entirely by the borrower members it serves.
Dave Everds of Alison captured the championships in the Men's City Golf Tournament at Round Grove Golf and Country Club over recent weeks. He earns a berth to the state tournament of champions at Atlantic on August 19 and 20. First flight winner is Daryl Fischer, with Carl Hevenga second. third flight winner to be decided.

Tracy Jo Ray ten year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Ray underwent an appendectomy at Floyd County Veterans Memorial Hospital in Charles City on Tuesday afternoon July 27. The report notes no complications and the patient is resting.
