A 34 member choir from United Methodist Church and Church of the Brethren will perform the evangelistic Good Friday cantata Jesus Speaks from the Cross at the United Methodist Church in Fui on April 8 at 8 pm. Ethel Jewell directs with soloists Twila Smith Fern Stuntz Bet ty Helm Debra Barnhart and Ka ren Barnhart. a men's trio sings. Cindy Muhlenbruck is organist and Della Bertram narrates. The event is sponsored annually by the Dorcas Circle of the United Methodist Women with Joyce Jaspers as chair and choir committee members Janet Barnhart Ethel Jewell and Della Bertram.

The Butler Co Cattlemen's Association met on March 28 to elect officers for 1974. John A Angstman of Dumont was named chairman, Ralph Wessels of Aplington as vice-chairman, and Don Feldman of Greene as secretary treasurer.
