Two Arrests From Late Saturday Greencastle Wrecks
Two wrecks Saturday night in Greencastle led to reckless driving charges against Russell Cartwright of South Greencastle and Professor J. B. Hankins of Terre Haute. Elder Jasper Dalby, 75, died Sunday afternoon at his son Edward Dalby’s home in Greencastle. Funeral planned Tuesday at 2 PM in Edward Dalby’s residence with Elder J Goble and Rev William Crowder officiating. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery. Dalby, a Putnam County resident since 1845, leaves one son Edward Henry Dalby and several descendants. Previously a Primitive Baptist minister, he last preached Feb 22 in Danville. Also noted death of Ray Leon, infant son of Mr and Mrs Leon Trout of Poland, buried Wilkinson cemetery near Poland.
