Prof F Hankins of 482 north Cone avenue Terre Haute was fined 5 dollars plus costs totaling 16 by Mayor W L Denman in City court for reckless driving. A charge of operating without a license was not pressed. Hankins pleaded guilty and must appear after a collision at Walnut and Jackson streets Saturday night injuring Hazel Alverson. Hankins’ car and a Greenlee vehicle collided at the intersection after Hankins ran the stop sign on Jackson street.

Black Sox Nine Defeat Russellville 2 1 In Weekend Game
The Crawfordsville Black Sox beat Russellville 2 to 1 at Russellville on Sunday afternoon. Williams and Malaska formed the Black Sox battery with Proctor and Leal catching for Russellville. Malaska scored both runs on clever base running while Williams held the visitors to five hits. Long at shortstop made key plays late to preserve the win. The teams meet again at Milligan Park in Crawfordsville next Sunday at 2 o clock.

4-H Club Picnic Planned for Allendale by Putnam County

Death claims former Putnam County woman Lydia Williams
Lydia Williams 69 died at 7 15 Sunday morning at her son G D Conner's home three miles north of Crawfordsville. A prior paralysis stroke and a later apoplexy caused death. Born March 16 1861 near Russellville, she had three prior marriages and was a Christian Church member at Brown's Valley. Survived by sons G D Conner and Oliver G Conner seven grandchildren. Services Thursday 11 am at Russellville Christian Church with Rev McGaughey of Veedersburg, burial Hebourn Cemetery.

Andrew McCammack a 47 year old resident of Belle Union was fined 10 dollars and costs by Judge James P Hughes in Putnam circuit court after pleading guilty to public intoxication. He was arrested on Main Street Cloverdale by town marshal Phillip Meyers and lodged at Green Castle jail before arraignment and release.

Moran gang members seized after Chicago reporter slaying

Court Grants Continuance In Trepass Case

The trial date was delayed so Brackney could gain evidence and possibly survey the fence line.
