Bainbridge youth Leo Lane death ruled accidental contention
The Bainbridge case centers on Leo Lane found dead in woods near Bainbridge Sunday morning. Though coroner Frank Reed has not ruled, family and friends insist the gunshot was accidental and Lane wrote a note stating the shooting was accidental after the injury.

Rome Gorham Dies at Home in Laketon Maryland
Rome Gorham died at his Laketon residence early Tuesday. A former Fillmore resident, he worked with his brother-in-law J. W. Herod in a Laketon grocery on South Main. He is survived by his widow Grace Herod. The body will go to Greens Castle Wednesday and be taken to J. W. Herod’s Elm Street home. Burial will be at Fillmore Thursday. Funeral arrangements await later notice.

Organizing Rifle Club Plans Meeting at Legion Hall

In South Bend Indiana on June 18, Milo C. Murray the Michigan City school superintendent was awarded a divorce from wife for cruelty. She cited his neglect of personal care and constant focus on education and duties. The couple married in 1924 and separated two years later with troubles tracing back to their Yellowstone honeymoon.
