Former resident James Pickens dies at Elwood home
James Pickens seven year old Elwood resident and Civil War veteran died at his home. He previously lived in Greencastle and was grandfather of Guy Pickens on East Walnut Street. Survived by three children William Pickens Cloverdale and Florence Warner Lowa and Phin Runyan. Funeral held in Elwood this afternoon with interment there. Mr and Mrs Guy Pickens attended the funeral.
