High School Girl Elopes With Bus Driver in Plainfield
Yesterday a 14 year old Greencastle High School sophomore Mabel Shaffer eloped with Plainfield bus driver Claire Arnold 21 after leaving the school. The pair travelled to Danville where they obtained a marriage license and were married in Plainfield. kidnapping charges against Mabel’s guardian Mr and Mrs Glen Davis were dropped as the act was deemed an elopement. The couple will reside with Arnold’s parents in Plainfield.
