A night of heated discussion over new ward school buildings ends with the board voting to adjourn after considering consolidations. The Second and Third Wards push for new facilities while the Fourth Ward remains without a building, with Parent Teacher clubs planning another joint meeting to resolve the dispute.
Ernest Pryor of Gosport son of Mr and Mrs James Pryor was seriously injured when an electric hand car struck a boulder on the Monon tracks He suffered a broken collar bone and heavy cuts while companions received minor bruises.
Preparations are under way in the office of Charles Marshall for the special assessment of real estate this year as part of the annual revaluation of personal property. The actual work to set new values starts in every township March 1, with pre assessment conferences for all township assessors and deputies.

Ivan Leighty a 13 year old from Petersburg Indiana was burned seriously when he and friends found an old powder can in an abandoned quarry five miles east of town. He loaded powder into his cap and approached the fire causing an explosion that set his clothes on fire. He rolled on wet ground to escape but suffered severe burns to his hands and face.
New York Feb 7 Several Giants and Yankees players received orders to march through Georgia and Florida to spring training camps. The first Giants squad departs New York Sunday night. Yankees manager Miller Huggins ordered about forty players to St. Petersburg Florida within the next three weeks.
The marriage of Miss Blanche Bicknell daughter of Mrs. Henry Bicknell formerly of Greencastle to Lieutenant Leo C. Wilson occurred Monday evening at 5 in Miami Florida The bride a DePauw graduate and Kappa Kappa Gamma member is well known in Greencastle Wilson a government inspector of civilian planes is son of Mr and Mrs Albert Wilson of Clayton Indiana They left Miami for a Western Florida trip and will return to Greencastle in June to greet friends.
Frank Concilla a Greencastle fruit dealer was fined 290 dollars and sentenced to sixty days on the Indiana State Farm on two counts of illicit liquor. He pleaded guilty and the sentences run concurrently. His son sought grounds for appeal but the mayor ordered the term to be served. Concilla plans to serve his sentence at the Penal Farm.
Indianapolis February 7 Funeral services will be held Wednesday for 18 year old Miss Marjorie Fluery Butler University coed who was fatally hurt in an automobile accident Sunday She died in St Vincent's Hospital Monday The girl started as a freshman at DePauw University in Greencastle two years ago and has spent the last two years at Butler She was recently initiated into the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and was soon to receive a diploma from the Metropolitan School of Music and had often played for radio.
