The T. A. T. Airways passenger plane City of New York, damaged in a snow driven forced landing east of town last Monday, was flown out by Chief Pilot John Collins with a mechanic. Ten passengers were aboard. no injuries. Motor and propellers were replaced and the ship prepared for return to Columbus for conditioning.

Three inmates Frank Wallace Robert Harvey and George Hampshire escaped from the Putnam county jail early Sunday during a heavy rain and wind storm. They unlocked the cell block door crawled through a transom and used torn bedding strips and a hooked wire spring to reach the outside key. Police traced no immediate trace as of Sunday with suspected deaths traps noted by the Board of Charity. Wallace and Harvey were headed to Michigan City to begin 1 to 5 year terms. Hampshire awaited trial on related charges.
