Eaton Mill sale rumor denied by Mr Nice

A Tribune reporter sought comment on rumors that B H Eaton and Co sold the Eaton mill to the Miller's Combination. Mr Nice said there is no foundation, the mill is not for sale, and no negotiations occurred. He rejected claims of acting to aid Governor Eaton politically or to manipulate wheat prices. He noted Governor Eaton was away four weeks and later approved his actions.
