Denver painter found dead with strychnine in Eaton rooming house
Lee Meyers a Denver painter and paper hanger who came with his wife to Eaton was found dead in his room with a bottle of strychnine nearby. He had played cards with the rooming-house keepers Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy, left to his room in overcoat around 10 or 10:30, and was found dead near midnight. An autopsy was held in Greeley with an inquest expected. Relatives were telegraphed and may travel from Denver and Seattle. Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Ferguson will be held by the W R C at 2:30 pm Thursday. she had been a long-time member.

Milliken November 20 Jacob Messick an esteemed resident died yesterday at 4 40 pm after a ten day pneumonia illness. A former Kentucky immigrant, he moved to the west slope then Milliken eight years ago and leaves a wife with no children. He was active in Odd Fellows and Elk lodges.
