Inquest Finds Mulligan Death From Exposure Near Evans
Coroner's inquest into the death of sixteen year old James Mulligan near Evans on the Platte river last week yields a verdict of death from exposure and possible injuries by unknown parties. Three men linked to Mulligan's night out are held in county jail for further district attorney and sheriff investigations. Mulligan's body was sent to Broomfield Colorado for burial as his parents Mr and Mrs Patrick Mulligan traveled to Greeley to claim the remains.

The Swedish Lutheran church was dedicated last Sunday. The church society formed in 1904, Rev. O. W. Gustafson has led since June 1905. Building valued at 8000, debt under 2000. About 800 raised at the afternoon service. Rev. E. Lindquist of Colorado Springs preached morning, dedicatory service by Rev. G. Brandelle of Denver. Evening sermon by Rev. J. H. Nelson of Victor. Splendusic music throughout. Rev. D. Beausang of Boulder sang a solo in the evening.

Mexican man found guilty of assault on wife in district court
Cresscio Santyone, a Mexican national, was found guilty last Monday in district court of assault with intent to do great bodily harm after a prolonged beating and kicking of his American wife. He has not been sentenced yet.

Potatoes Cause Narrow Escape At Starch Factory
Yichomas Barnett, a starch factory worker north of the city, was nearly smothered last Saturday when a hopper filled with several tons of potatoes collapsed. He climbed to inspect a clog, and the potatoes gave way trapping him until colleagues cut through the floor to free him. He was weak but unharmed overall.
