Freeman Maxwell of the United States Geological Survey toured Greeley on business. The survey has tracked stream flow in Colorado for over twenty years and publishes findings in Water Supply Papers. Data up to 1900 compiled in Water Supply Paper No. 74, with newer records issued separately.
The junior class held an annual fete on campus last Friday with morning program and frolics. About twenty four girls per dance wore white robes forming a scenic display on the green. First Presbyterian women hosted another supper last Friday boosting their fund by about 50. They plan to convert the current kitchen into a chapel space and add a west kitchen with a two room basement for Sunday school use as funds allow. Also included is a testimonial for Chamberlain’s Stomach and Liver Tablets from Mrs Rosa Potts of Birmingham claiming relief from biliousness and constipation.
Jenevieve Clayton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Clayton, celebrated her fifth birthday last Thursday with a dozen young guests. The afternoon featured games, a birthday cake with candles, red lemonade, and a fine supper. Attendees included Dorothy and Marie Eaton, Janie McCutcheon, Julia and Billy Stockover, Evelyn Hurlbut, Nadine Ramsay, Rennie Rothchild, Eunice Ewing, Elizabeth Dille, John Davis, and Olga South.
