Boys Host Four Course Feast For Latin Class Guests

Two senior Latin class boys Charles Candlin and Charles Poe invited eight girls and teacher Miss Gertrude Norris to a home dinner. The boys, in charge of kitchen and cooking, served a four course spread with hot biscuits and other dishes, surprising the guests who had doubted their culinary skills. Start Work at Once on Montezuma Irrigation System

L L Stimson and assistant engineers left Sunday for the Montezuma valley to begin the Camfield irrigation project totaling nearly 800000 dollars. The plan covers about 125 miles of main ditches and two large storage reservoirs serving Cortez and surrounding fruit lands in Montezuma County, a town of about 500 people twelve miles from the railroad.

Tree Planting at Dawn by the Senior Class

The senior class of the high school planned a tree planting on Arbor Day followed by a country picnic. The event was postponed but finally held at daybreak last Friday on the campus with a class breakfast at Miss Sadie Miller’s home. The twenty three students, described as healthy and original, preferred a dawn breakfast to parties after their early ceremony.
