Eight Foot Eagle Captured in Meeker Trap
In Meeker on December 4, George Reenan, a local dry farmer, caught an eight foot bald eagle in a coyote trap. The bird struggled violently, tearing at its talons and nearly severing parts of both wings. The surrounding brush showed marks of its struggle, and officials note it is the largest eagle seen in the area in years.
