In Johns town M Gomaro and his wife argued weeks earlier and last Thursday night she demanded a divorce with belongings. He dragged her to court to secure a separation but Justice Rickert, aided by Deputy D A Ewing, explained that divorce cannot be rushed.

Evans Man Fractured After Train Collision At Crossing
Frank Fashbaugh of Evans was struck by a northbound passenger train at a crossing south of the Evans depot. His two horses died instantly. He was sent toward Greeley for hospital care but Dr. Call found no serious injuries and he returned home. Fashbaugh, son of Evans Station Agent, had worked as a railroad man in Greeley and LaSalle.

Sheriff narrowly escapes lynching at Erie after arrest
Sheriff Florance, escorting prisoner John W. Makin for assault against George McDonald, faced a mob at Erie depot. A bystander John Marshal shocked the crowd with a punch, blood and threats followed, the sheriff and prisoner secured into a car. Makin sent to Greeley for trial on September 6.

Turned Detective Detains Bigamist Doctor in Colorado
Dr Merritt B Hook wanted in Colorado Springs on a bigamy charge was arrested in Denver last week by Pat Hurley of Fort Collins and turned over to Colorado Springs authorities. He had fled from Ault and sold his horse and buggy to Hurley at Fort Collins then vanished on the train. Hurley sought a Larimer County deputy commission to pursue the alleged swindler and found the doctor in Denver the next day discovering the horse sale was legitimate.

Peraltas Defeat Colorado Iron Works In Sunday Game

L. Bartlett suffered a broken collar bone a bruised leg and a damaged nose after a late Thursday bicycle collision on South Ninth Avenue. He crossed paths with a rider on the wrong side of the street named Peterson. Bartlett was the sole injury and was taken home by buggy.
